Rooted in stockton, leading us forward

My name is Shauna Priest and I am running for the SUSD Board Trustee position for Area 4. I am deeply motivated by my lifelong connection to this community and my commitment to public education. As a former SUSD student who grew up in Area 4, I know firsthand the strengths and challenges of our district. My experience as both an educator and a proud member of the Stockton Teachers Association has shaped my understanding of the critical role that educators play in shaping our students' futures.

Throughout my career in education, I have been dedicated to advocating for teachers' rights and ensuring that our schools provide equitable opportunities for all students. These principles are foundational to my approach as an educator and as a leader.

Now, as a vice principal and a parent raising my family in Area 4, I am now even more committed to making sure that our district supports both students and teachers. I believe that strong schools are built on collaboration, respect, and a shared vision for success. On the SUSD Board of Trustees, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our educators are supported with the resources they need and that our students are given the opportunities they deserve to succeed.

My campaign is grounded in the values of equity, accountability, and community. I am honored to seek the support of STA members as we work together to build a brighter future for our students and schools in Area 4.
